Mercy Steps Program
Mercy Steps Program is a non-profit organisation founded in 2009, originally established as a women’s support initiative. In 2014, the program expanded to include a dedicated focus on children, broadening its mission to support schools and strengthen communities.
Today, Mercy Steps Program continues to deliver meaningful support, essential resources, and hope to underserved communities through its integrated approach to social impact.

Pre-registration helps us plan ahead, reach a wider and more committed group, and deliver our services with care and intention. Donations are also welcome on the day of registration or of service.

About MSP
Empowering Rural Communities
Mercy Steps Program has grown over the years and has gone on to support children. We now operate as two programs under one umbrella: the Mercy Steps Cancer Program and the Mercy Steps Children’s Program (MSP).
Children’s Initiative
We provide practical, ongoing support to children from vulnerable backgrounds, helping them access quality education and build a stronger future.
We work closely with schools and guardians to identify children in need and respond with targeted support. Our programs focus on removing barriers to education by providing essential resources, including school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and access to technology through initiatives like MSP Tech for Kids.
Beyond material support, we create opportunities for growth through mentorship, educational guidance, and community engagement. Our approach is long-term and holistic, ensuring that children are supported not only in their education but also in their personal development, empowering them to become confident, responsible adults and future leaders
Women’s Initiative
Mercy Steps Program supports women through health awareness, education, and empowerment programs that improve their well-being and strengthen their role within the community.
We work with local and international partners to reach women in underserved communities, particularly those affected by breast cancer and other health challenges. Our initiatives focus on raising awareness, promoting early detection, and providing access to essential information through workshops and community health information days.
In addition, we support women through outreach and independent compassion programs, including capacity-building initiatives that foster independence and resilience. Our approach is practical and sustainable, ensuring that women are equipped with the knowledge, support, and opportunities they need to lead healthier, more empowered lives.

Your donation of school stationery helps equip children with essential learning materials, including exercise books, pens, pencils, paper, and mathematics sets. These simple items make a powerful difference, allowing children to fully participate in class with confidence and dignity.
Through our MSP Tech for Kids initiative, we also extend this support beyond traditional materials by introducing computers and digital learning tools in rural schools. This ensures that children are not only prepared for today’s lessons but are also equipped with the skills needed for the future.
